Silverwing Photography

I have always pursued photography, through my childhood and on. In the old days my paper route and job as a grocery store bagger helped pay for my film and processing. My passion for the art of photography is what kept me coming back. Today I shoot digital only - I am on my eighth digital camera. The only film camera's I now own are the vintage models that I collect.
I accidentally started professionally photographing people in youth sports. A close friend knowing my love for photography requested that I photograph his children during their games - baseball, basketball, and football for example. As parents started seeing me more, they asked about buying copies of their children's pictures. And so it began.
I enjoy event photography, it allows a candid perspective to the art - and the persons can simply be themselves. This year a opened a studio for my expansion into Portrait photography; it is harder work, but very rewarding. I have had the privilege to work with many wonderful families and models.
